This Issue's Wonder Woman: Kim Ortiz

Kim’s design journey began in 2013 as a graphic designer at a local print shop, then expanded to a marketing agency where she spent 7 years creating logos, marketing materials, and digital campaigns. Kim is passionate about designing beautiful, accessible websites in Figma that perform well, along with providing graphic design and SEO services.

What is your mantra?

Work hard. Play hard.
I believe in giving my best effort, staying focused, and pushing myself to achieve meaningful results — but also making time to celebrate, recharge, and enjoy life. True success comes from balancing dedication with joy.

Tell us 3-5 tech tools that you swear by that make life & work a little easier.

  1. ClickUp – Keeps me and my team organized, on track, and moving forward.
  2. Kadence – My go-to for building beautiful, high-performing websites without the heavy bloat.
  3. Loom – Perfect for creating quick sales videos.
  4. Calendly – Makes scheduling and accepting payments easy.

What's in your mug/glass/bottle during work hours?

Black hot tea with a bit of honey!

What's in your mug/glass/bottle after hours?

Jack and Coke

Knowing what you do now, what advice would you give to your younger self?

Don't be afraid to jump in. Take the first step — it’s often not as hard as it seems. You’re stronger, more capable, and more resilient than you realize. Trust yourself and move forward with confidence.
